Gerber to Deliver New York Accredited CLE Course on iPad Use for Law Practices

NEW YORK, NY – March 13, 2012 - Carol J. Gerber, an attorney and training expert, today announced the launch of Gerber Amalgamated LLC, a company providing technology training and consulting services to the legal industry. 

Gerber Amalgamated LLC will develop CLE-accredited technology training classes for attorneys, as well as help law firms effectively select the right technology and learn to maximize its benefit.  Essential to all of the company’s services is Carol’s experience practicing law and her proven track record of helping firms choose, configure, deploy and train on legal technology.

Gerber Amalgamated LLC has announced that its first training class, "Practicing Law with an iPad," has been accredited by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board.  Attorneys who attend the class will be eligible to earn 1 CLE credit towards New York's Law Practice Management requirement.  

The CLE class covers:

• what to expect from iPads in your practice
• the security implications of iPads, particularly transfer and storage of client material
• the myriad iPad software applications designed for attorneys
• additional resources for staying up-to-date on new technologies

Carol developed her knowledge of legal technology by working in every stage of the process, including spotting opportunities to incorporate technology, choosing the right software, helping IT professionals configure and install software and helping attorneys and support staff adjust their workflows to take advantage of the technologies.
